“Our mission is to bridge the gap between cutting-edge technology and environmental stewardship,” said Sylvia French, Founder of Sollora Carbon Works. “Hemp has extraordinary potential—not just as a crop but as a foundation for creating materials that replace toxic, extractive technologies. With our carbon nanosheets, we’re showing that sustainability and performance can combine harmoniously.”
Sollora Carbon manufactures its nanosheets using bast fibers from hemp stalks—an agricultural byproduct often discarded or underutilized. By partnering with local hemp farmers, SC repurposes this waste to reduce environmental impact while creating new economic opportunities.
“Our process is sustainable from start to finish,” said French. “We use solar energy and closed-loop water systems in production, ensuring every sheet we make replaces materials that depend on fossil fuels. We’re excited to work with hemp farmers and make this innovation accessible to industries that need it most.”
